Parents Group
Is my son an addict? Does our daughter have a problem? Does she need integrated continuum of care? What kind? Where? During the 30 day program, parents questions about their adolescent’s behaviors of concern are answered, and they learn how to help resolve addiction issues in their adolescents by early identification, facilitating intervention, setting productive boundaries, and crossing barriers of communication. This program also addresses prevention strategies, as well as co-dependency and enabling issues.

The NEXGEN program encompass brief adolescent therapy, focusing on identification, evaluation, and assessment for Chemical Dependence. Clients participate in 30 days of counseling, with three psychological, therapeutic education group meetings and one individual counseling session required each week. Family members also participate in group family counseling, in addition to family counseling sessions with their child. This 30-day program, with its thorough protocol, provides parents with an accurate assessment of their adolescent’s behavior and behaviors of concern.

Male Adolescent Group:
Adolescent males (aged 14-17) need to define for themselves a healthy masculinity in the context of contemporary culture. At Sage Holistic, this is achieved in a peer-supportive environment through exploration of unresolved issues such as divorce or changing schools, skills development for controlling anger and other impulsive behaviors, and addressing how to achieve the habits of highly effective teens. This group meets one time per week for 8 weeks. This group also combines with the female adolescent group for a joint meeting at the end of each week.

Male Young Adult Group:
The focus of this group is young adult empowerment. This is achieved by developing habits of effective young adults, while addressing issues such as divorce, sexuality and young adult stressors. This group for 18-25 year olds meets one time per week for 8 weeks. This group also combines with the female young adult group for a joint meeting at the end of each week.

Female Adolescent Group:
Adolescent girls are in a time of transition. They often feel that no one understands them. They haven’t figured out who they are. This group for girls aged 14-18 helps girls define themselves through the exploration of family systems, social roles, and self-image, in addition to substance abuse education. This group meets one time per week for 8 weeks. This group also combines with the male adolescent group for a joint meeting at the end of each week.

Female Young Adult Group:
This group is suitable for young women, aged 18-25, who are still struggling to define themselves by addressing self-expression, communication, self-image, and identifying healthy coping skills. This group meets one time per week for 8 weeks. This group also combines with the male young adult group for a joint meeting at the end of each week.
