Burned Out Healers Collective
A recovery space for the ones who have been carrying too much for too long.
According to a JAMA Network study tracking 26,000 professionals, more than 1 in 3 mental health workers reported burnout in 2023. Early-career therapists are burning out at rates 12 percentage points higher than veterans and up to 67% of community mental health therapists report high burnout.
The Burned-Out Helper Collective is a group for people who have spent much of their lives caring for others while quietly carrying too much themselves. Together, we explore the roots of burnout, including early family roles, emotional labor, and nervous system survival patterns, and begin shifting the narrative away from burnout as an individual failure and toward the systemic conditions that create it. Through reflection, somatic awareness, and practical boundary work, participants learn how to redistribute responsibility, reconnect with their own needs, and build more sustainable, community-centered ways of living and relating.
