MEET YOUR THERAPIST ~
MEET YOUR THERAPIST ~
I’m the therapist who will sit with you in your hardest moments and tell you the truth you’ve been avoiding. Because I’m not here to make you comfortable. I’m here to help you be honest.

CEO & THE THERAPIST’S THERAPIST (she/her)
Hi folks! My name is Aubrey Richardson and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I am (highly) addicted to coffee and espresso, so I will never tell you to reduce your caffeine intake. I have eight ear piercings and multiple tattoos, and I encourage swearing in my sessions.
I am a recovering people pleaser and perfectionist myself, who appreciates a calendar invite for every event and loves a checklist. I’ve worked in nonprofits and hospitals, and know the feeling of emotional exhaustion that comes from taking care of my clients, my friends, my family, my two rescue dogs, and everyone else in my life while trying to “take time for self-care”. Through my own therapy, I’ve learned the importance of strengthening my voice and my spine.
I work with therapists, caregivers, and helping professionals recover from people-pleasing, perfectionism, and over-achieving. They are trying to manage overbooked calendars with multiple responsibilities. They say "yes" when they mean “no" to accommodate the needs of others at their own expense. While my responsibilities, overwhelm, and relationships may look different than yours, I know why you stay up late (even though you have to get up early) scrolling on your phone while watching reality television.
Let Me Introduce Myself
let’s work together
Clients know me for my authenticity, directness, and my willingness to sit with them in the hardest moments of their lives.
I am not afraid of the deep conversations. The ones about resentment, exhaustion, grief, identity shifts, and what happens when the person who holds everyone else together starts to fall apart.
Today and every day, SHC honors and thanks the Jumbos, Wichita, Tawakoni, and Kiikaapoi indigenous peoples who have stewarded this land in Frisco Texas for generations. Land acknowledgments are a vital step toward recognizing and respecting enduring connection to this place where my office is. Let's continue to learn, listen, and stand in solidarity. Meet sage
The muse and mascot!
Sage is a husky-German Shepard mix who loves to play with her favorite stuffed pig, snack on ice cube treats, and go on walks. She was rescued in 2020 after being abandoned in an alley in Houston, Texas after her previous owners left her behind. Sage now enjoys a life of luxury in Frisco with unlimited belly rubs and cuddles.
You don’t have to keep suffering
If you’re tired of pretending you’re okay while everything inside you screams while being on fire, I’d love to help you rebuild from the inside out.
